When our 17-bed emergency department could no longer meet the needs of 40,000 visits per year, we had many choices but after an exhaustive search settled on Jon Huddy. Mr. Huddy explored the needs of the community and hospital as well as the culture of the hospital. [...] Mr. Huddy incorporated our work processes as well as idealizing those processes into the overall design. In the end, Mr. Huddy created an aesthetically pleasing and highly functional department that met the needs of ER, attending and consulting staff while providing privacy and comfort for the patients and their families and/or significant others. This has created greater patient satisfaction and has contributed to our continued high Press-Ganey Scores.
