One of the largest emergency departments in North America has opened in Marietta, GA (north of Atlanta) at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. This multi-level, 146-bed facility is designed to accommodate up to 220,000 annual visits at takes up an entire city block with a bridge connection back to the hospital.
